    1. I am considering moving to the area.
Can you give me some insight as to the neighborhood?

Ex:Is it mostly young families, mixed ages? I’m a senior citizen.
Please give me an idea of the neighborhood.

      • The West 104 block between West End and Riverside, as well as surrounding streets is a mix of young families with babies and school age children to empty nesters and retirees. The closeness of Riverside Park and neighborhood schools and programs provide a lot of activities for all ages. The West 105th street dog walk is very close on the lower level of Riverside Park which can be accessed via a ramp at 103rd and stairs at 104th. The Ellington on the Park restaurant in the Riverside at 105th has a full pub menu with service both upstairs on the promenade and below by the Swingaring and beach volleyball courts.

There is also a community Program that we are affiliated with called Bloomingdale Aging in Place that offers services to seniors and occasional programming like bird walks, neighborhood history tours, and yoga. https://www.bloominplace.org/

The neighborhood is easy to walk with nearby restaurants, music venues, drugstores, urgent care centers and grocery. Bloomingdale Music School (w108) and the Nicholas Rorich Museum (w107) offer occasional evening concerts, and the Miller Theater at Columbia and Symphony Space at Bwy and West 95th are close by.

We have annual events including bulb plantings, an annual yard sale and other socials which offer a lot of volunteering opportunities if that is something you like to do. Our evening security guard can provide assistance or walk you between Broadway and Riverside. West 102/103 also has a similar service and programming.

    2. Hi, regarding the Yard Sale this upcoming Saturday, 10/1. Are there any plans in place in case there is heavy rain/ thunderstorms that day?

      Thanks!
