Neighborhood Update – June 22, 2017

Here are some events you may be interested in attending:

1. The 28th Annual West 104th Street Block Association Block Party – Saturday, October 14, 2017
Remember to save the date and attend our block party in October! We will have live music, tables with priceless treasurers, a bakery with home-made goodies, our ever-popular book table, the Silent Auction and What -A-Bargain tables.

We are accepting reservations for tables NOW. By reserving your table now, you will have the choice of premier spots! For the table agreement, please visit our website at www.bloomongdale.org or contact Gary Waskow at yardsale.104@gmail.com

Watch for flyers announcing how and when to donate items! If you would like to help on the date of the yard sale – we can use you! Please contact me at mtkoval@aol.com.

2. West 104th Street Garden Jazz Concert – Sunday, June 25; 4:30pm to 6:30pm
Joyce Griffen and her quartet return! Standards, ballads, and Latin rhythms. Suggested donation: $10.

Just behind the American Museum of Natural History, on Columbus Avenue, this year-round market stretches from 78th to 81st Streets each Sunday. Shoppers will find grass fed beef, New York’s freshest fish, duck, chicken, ostrich, goat cheese, fresh flowers, eggs, honey, baked goods, apple cider, and a large variety of fruit and vegetables. Cash, EBT/Food Stamps, Debit/Credit, WIC Vegetable & Fruit checks & FMNP coupons accepted.

97th Street Greenmarket
Fridays year-round, 8:00 am-2:00 pm
Location: 97th Street between Columbus & Amsterdam

One of the longest running year-round markets in the Greenmarket program, the 97th Street market has been serving the diverse population of the Upper West Side for over 25 years. Come shop for produce from southern New Jersey, Orange County, NY, and the Hudson Valley, as well as eggs, grass-fed meat, fish, cheese, and more. Cash, EBT/Food Stamps, Debit/Credit, WIC Vegetable & Fruit Checks & FMNP Coupons accepted.

If you have not contributed to the block association, please do so now! Any contribution will help us continue to provide plants, tree guard maintenance, and our security guard among many other activities.
