Neighborhood Update: Recycling Event and More….

1. E-Waste Recycling: Saturday, January 14 10am – 4pm at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus Amsterdam Ave. between W. 96th and 97th Streets
The Lower East Side Ecology Center is sponsoring an E-Waste Re-Cycling Event at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus on Amsterdam Ave. between 96th and 96th Streets. From 10am to 4pm rain or shine.

They will accept working and non-working computers, monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, cables, TV’s, VCR’s, DVD players, phones, audio/visual equipment, cell phones, and PDA’s.

They will NOT accept microwaves, refrigerators, air conditioners, smoke or carbon monoxide detectors.

2. Sculptures in the Bloomingdale Neighborhood: Monday, January 23 6:30pm at the International Hostel, 891 Amsterdam at 103rd

Free presentation by local historian Jim Mackin. For more information, call 212-666-9774.

3. Bloomingdale Neighborhood History Walk: Sunday, January 29 at 2pm.

Monthly history walk of the Bloomingdale neighborhood with Jim Mackin. Meet at the International Hostel, 891 Amsterdam. Call 212-666-9774 to RSVP.

4. West 104th Street Block Association Dues

Just a reminder that you may begin sending in your 2017 recommended dues of $160.00 for residents and $80.00 for off-block residents now.

Please indicate if you are a garage customer, how many cars, your email address (we do not share emails,) and any suggestions or comments on a separate paper.
